25th. June in which I informed you that Dr. J. M. Atkinson had telegraphed to the effect that he had resigned, that Dr. J. Bell had applied for the post and that recomendations would follow
shortly.

I propose to leave it to Sir Henry May, who is due to arrive here next week, to make recommendations for filling the vacancy.
